Aufgaben:
- As our Marketplace Manager Western Europe, you'll join our Commercial team, which is at the forefront of driving online growth and delivering exceptional consumer experiences. The mission of this role is to design, implement, and scale a best-in-class marketplace business model for Pentland Brands. This includes building a robust ecosystem that ensures strong visibility, conversion, and premium brand representation for ENDURA, BERGHAUS, SPEEDO and other relevant brands. You will own the entire marketplace lifecycle-from strategic planning and commercial setup to technical integration, operational rollout, and long-term performance optimisation. You will also manage the business with the online partners/Key Accounts that we carry in the wholesale channel.
- As our Marketplace Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Lead marketplace setup and rollout
- Conduct in-depth platform evaluations and negotiate commercial terms
- Oversee technical integrations, data readiness, and operational go-live execution
- Define and execute marketplace strategy
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap covering assortment planning, pricing architecture, logistics models and promotional frameworks
- Align marketplace strategy with brand positioning and overall digital growth objectives Strong brand and content acumen (SEO, rich content, imagery/video standards)
- Manage marketplace operations
- Ensure accurate and timely product listings, catalogue management, and content optimisation
- Monitor stock availability and execute merchandising strategies to maximise conversion
- Ensure premium brand representation
- Maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines across all marketplace touchpoints
- Deliver best-in-class content, including imagery, rich media, and SEO-optimised product description
- Drive performance and scalability
- Track and optimise key metrics: traffic, conversion rate, buy box share, return rate, and profitability
- Build scalable processes for fulfilment, returns, invoicing, compliance, and promotional execution
- Collaborate and enable
- Partner with IT to ensure seamless connectivity between PIM, ERP, OMS, pricing engines, and marketplace APIs
- Work cross-functionally with Digital, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Brand Marketing teams
- Create internal playbooks, implementation frameworks, and training materials to enable operational excellence
- Manage external relationships
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with marketplace platforms, aggregators, and third-party service providers
- Negotiate service-level agreements and ensure compliance with operational standards

Qualifikationen:
- Proven experience in marketplace management (Amazon, Zalando, eBay, or similar both online and offline
- Strong understanding of PIM, ERP, OMS, feed management, and API integrations
- Analytical mindset with experience in KPI tracking, reporting, and optimisation
- Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong brand and content acumen (SEO, rich content, imagery/video standards)
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and act on insights.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (French would be a plus)
- Strong knowledge of the cycling or sportswear industry in DACH
- At least 2-3 years' experience in marketplaces
- A passion for consumer-focused innovation and a commitment to collaborative teamwork
- Willing to work flexibly across both Marketplace and Wholesale channels, with a clear primary focus on Marketplace
